About This Trek
The 360° Viewpoint hike is the quickest way to experience the breathtaking panoramas of the Jalori Pass region. From the pass summit, a short 1–1.5 km trail leads to an open alpine meadow where the landscape opens up in every direction — snow-capped peaks, forested ridges, and deep valleys stretching as far as the eye can see.
This hike is perfect for visitors who want a genuine Himalayan experience without committing to a full-day trek. It takes just 20–30 minutes to reach the viewpoint, and the trail is gentle enough for everyone — young children, elderly visitors, and first-timers alike.
Early morning is the ideal time to visit. Before clouds build up (usually by late morning), the entire panorama is crystal clear — the Kullu Valley to the west, the Shimla hills to the east, and the snow peaks of the Great Himalayan National Park to the north. Sunrise from this meadow is a photographer's dream.
The 360° Viewpoint pairs perfectly with the Raghupur Fort trek for a complete half-day exploration of the Jalori Pass summit area. Together, the two trails can be done in 2–3 hours total, leaving the afternoon free for the Serolsar Lake trek or a drive into Tirthan Valley.
Tips
Visit before 9 AM for the clearest views before clouds roll in. No special gear needed — regular walking shoes are fine. Best combined with the Raghupur Fort trek on the same morning. Carry a light jacket as the open meadow can be windy.
