About Jalori Pass

Jalori Pass (Jalori Jot) is a stunning mountain pass at 3,120 meters (10,236 feet) in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. One of the lowest passes in the Himalayas that is accessible by road, it connects the lush Kullu Valley with the Shimla region, offering a gateway to some of the most breathtaking landscapes in northern India.

Surrounded by dense forests of oak, deodar, and pine, the pass is a starting point for treks to the pristine Serolsar Lake, the historic Raghupur Fort, and the panoramic 360-degree viewpoint. The ancient Mahakali Temple at the summit has been a sacred site for centuries, welcoming both pilgrims and travelers crossing between the valleys.

500 km from Delhi (12-14 hrs), 280 km from Chandigarh (8-10 hrs), 150 km from Shimla. Route via Mandi - Aut - Banjar - Jibhi.

By Rail

Nearest broad gauge station is Chandigarh. Narrow gauge at Joginder Nagar (120 km). Onward by bus or taxi.
